7 Things Your Website Must Have Before You Run Facebook Ads in the Philippines

July 2026  ·  7 min read  ·  By KineticWeb.ph

Every week, Philippine business owners spend ₱5,000, ₱10,000, ₱20,000 or more on Facebook Ads — and walk away confused about why they're getting clicks but no customers. The ad agency says the campaign is performing. The numbers look fine. So what's wrong?

In most cases, the problem isn't the ad. The problem is where the ad sends people. A poorly built website — or worse, a Facebook page used as a website — kills conversions before they happen. You're paying to fill a leaking bucket.

Facebook Ads can be extraordinarily effective for Philippine businesses. But only if your website is ready to receive that traffic and turn it into inquiries, bookings, or sales. Here are the 7 things that need to be in place before you spend a single peso on ads.

01
A Page That Loads in Under 3 Seconds on Mobile

Facebook Ads traffic is almost entirely mobile in the Philippines. If your landing page takes 5–8 seconds to load on a 4G connection, the majority of your ad clicks will bounce before they see your offer. You've paid for that click — and lost it to a loading spinner. Run your site through PageSpeed Insights right now. If your mobile score is below 70, fix this before running ads.

02
A Single, Clear Call to Action on the Landing Page

When someone clicks your ad and lands on your homepage, they should immediately know what you want them to do next. One action: call now, book here, message us, buy this. Homepages that try to do everything — services, about us, blog, testimonials, contact — overwhelm visitors and result in nobody doing anything. Build or designate a dedicated landing page for each ad campaign with one CTA.

03
The Facebook Pixel Installed Correctly

Without the Meta Pixel on your website, Facebook cannot learn who is converting and who isn't — so it cannot optimize your campaign. You're flying blind. The Pixel also enables retargeting: showing ads specifically to people who visited your site but didn't take action. This retargeting audience is almost always your highest-converting segment. Install the Pixel before you spend anything on ads, even if you just run it passively for two weeks to build an audience first.

04
A Thank-You Page After Every Conversion

When someone fills out your inquiry form or completes a purchase, where do they go? If the answer is "the same page" or "a generic message appears," you're missing a critical tracking opportunity. A dedicated thank-you page (e.g. kineticweb.ph/thank-you) lets you set up a Purchase or Lead conversion event in Facebook Ads Manager — so the algorithm knows exactly who converted and can find more people like them. Without this, your campaign has no feedback loop.

05
Social Proof Visible Above the Fold

Philippine consumers are highly social-proof-driven. Before they inquire or buy, they want to see that other people — real people, ideally from their city or industry — have already trusted you and had a good experience. This means testimonials with names and photos, Google review ratings, a client logo strip, or a specific number ("47 businesses served in Cebu"). If your landing page has none of this, cold traffic from ads will bounce. Trust must be established within the first scroll.

06
A Working Contact Form or Booking System That Actually Notifies You

This sounds obvious, but we've seen it go wrong more than once: a business runs ads, gets inquiries through the website form, but the form emails were going to spam — or the form was broken entirely. Before launching ads, submit your own contact form and confirm the email arrives. Then test it on mobile. Also consider adding a WhatsApp button or a Click-to-Call button as a secondary conversion path — many Filipino customers prefer messaging over form submission.

07
Copy That Speaks to Your Target Customer's Specific Problem

Generic headline: "Welcome to [Business Name] — Your Trusted Partner in [Industry]." This tells the visitor nothing and converts nobody. Specific headline: "We Fix Hacked WordPress Sites in the Philippines — Same-Day Service, Guaranteed." The second version immediately tells the right visitor they're in the right place. Before running ads, rewrite your landing page headline to address a specific pain point or desire your target customer has — not what you want to say about yourself, but what they need to hear to stay on the page.

The Right Order of Operations

Build the website first → Install the Pixel → Run a small test campaign (₱300–500/day for 5–7 days) → Read the data → Scale what works. Skipping the first two steps means the test data is useless and the scaling decision is guesswork.

Many Philippine business owners approach this in reverse — they run ads first, then scramble to fix the website when conversions don't come. The result is wasted ad budget and a frustrating experience that leads them to conclude "Facebook Ads don't work for my business." Facebook Ads work extremely well in the Philippines. The funnel just needs to be built in the right order.

What About Just Running Ads to Your Facebook Page?

Sending Facebook Ad traffic to your Facebook Page instead of a website is a shortcut that costs you more in the long run. You cannot install a Pixel on a Facebook Page. You cannot create a proper conversion event. You have no control over the experience visitors have. You cannot retarget them later. And you are building your audience on rented land — Facebook owns the page, and their algorithm decides who sees your content.

Your website is an asset you own. Your Facebook Page is an asset you rent. Ads work better when they drive traffic to something you control.
